An Introduction to NABH

Established in year 2006, National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare aims to operate accreditation Programme for the healthcare organizations across India.

It has been designed mainly to improve healthcare standard across the country. It is considered equivalent to Joint Commission International in India.

 JCI is a world body which aims at improving both healthcare quality and safety of the patients at Global level. Like JCI, NABH also gives accreditation to Health Centers but only to the institutes based in this country. A Health Center has to fulfill more than 600 objective elements set by it to qualify for its accreditation.

 Its objectives are centered on patient care and organization standards.

It is compulsory for every health care or hospital in the country to follow these objectives in hospital activities if it is keen to rank high in NABH accreditation. From registration, post surgery protocols to the discharge of a patient from hospital, hospital should follow a set process driven approach.

   NABH Training program and its objectives  

 NABH organizes a training program for medical professionals, health care organizations, nursing professionals, medical administrators, members of Hospital Ethics Committee, and Independent Ethics Committee professionals. The aim of the training program is implementation of Accreditation of Clinical Trial. It organizes these training programs in various cities of India. And NABH Training program continues for 2 days. And the sole objective of the program is to guide health care providers on implementation of Accreditation of Clinical Trial.  For registration, the participants need to fill a registration form.
